This role will report directly to the Company’s Executive team and must have strong technical accounting and FP&A skills. An extremely fast-growing environment also requires a leader that is highly adaptable and can pivot the Operating Model quickly to continue to service our clients at a high level.
Required Skills:
- Minimum Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years of Accounting Leadership Experience
- 2-3 years of Financial Planning & Analysis Experience
- An approachable leader with a high aptitude for training
- An effective communicator (written & oral)
- Expert status when it comes to consolidating financial statements across multiple entities and building forecasts for individual business units and for the consolidated company
- Strong analytical skills
- Able to build processes and procedures that are highly efficient & practical to implement

Personnel Find is working with a rapidly growing client in Metairie to fill a Staff Accountant position. This position offers an exciting opportunity to fast track both learning and growth. Position responsibilities will include all aspects of the accounting cycle including A/R, A/P, performing monthly close processes/reconciliations, budgeting, fulfilling interdepartmental reporting requests, maintaining an effective control environment as well as coordinating with our External Auditors. The position will also involve extensive inter-entity accounting, SEC compliance, and covenant compliance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively participate in monthly and quarterly close activities.
- Create detailed schedules as needed for management, finance and reporting purposes.
- Develop working knowledge of the financial applications.
- Follow all internal controls related to accounting.
- Participate in month-end and quarter closes including preparation of accounting supporting documents
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned when needed to support the business.
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting requests from CFO, Controller and/or FP&A.
- Research technical accounting guidance and propose accounting conclusions
- Review contracts for proper revenue recognition under ASC 606 (POC, milestone, T&M, fixed fee).
- Support external auditors to ensure all information requested is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in drafting technical accounting memos and documentation for review.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance (required)
- 1-3 years accounting experience, preferably a mix of public accounting/private experiences (strong proficiency with Journal Entries)
- CPA preferred
- High-level of proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel) required. Advanced knowledge of Excel required (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people at varying levels within the organization.
